Oregano oil and black seed oil have been part of the daily health routine in various cultures for centuries. Today, they are being studied by modern science and have been valued for generations – long before the dietary supplement industry even existed. We chose these two ingredients because they have stood the test of time, and their origins and significance in traditional use are clearly traceable.

“Two of the best-researched herbs in traditional medicine – precisely those that our great-grandmothers already relied on and whose effects are being examined by modern science today.”

Oregano has held a firm place in the Mediterranean health tradition for centuries. However, its significance is not merely historical. The most important active compounds in oregano oil, particularly carvacrol and thymol, have been examined in hundreds of peer-reviewed scientific studies. These two powerful compounds support the body’s natural defenses, and oregano oil is frequently used to support the immune system.
The findings are particularly promising with regard to gut health. Oregano oil can contribute to a balanced intestinal environment by inhibiting the unwanted growth of certain bacteria. For this reason, it is sometimes used in protocols to support bacterial balance in the gut. In a small study where oregano oil was part of an approach for small intestinal bacterial overgrowth, nearly half of the participants showed improvement after ten weeks.

Oregano oil and black seed oil have been valued in various cultures for millennia. Not because of a study, a subscription box, or a social media post. But because they were used back then—and are still part of traditional practices today.

Used for more than 3,000 years – and still highly valued.
Black seed oil is extracted from the seeds of Nigella sativa, a flowering plant native to the Mediterranean region and Western Asia. It is mentioned in historical texts spanning three millennia and plays a significant role in traditional healing practices across the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia. This is not a fleeting trend, but rather one of the longest continuously used botanical ingredients in existence.
Modern research is beginning to examine this traditional knowledge more closely. Black seed oil contains thymoquinone, a compound with documented antioxidant, inflammation-modulating, and immunomodulating properties. Studies suggest that black seed oil can support immune system function by contributing to a healthy inflammatory balance.
Research findings also indicate that black seed oil can support the natural activity of killer cells, the function of T-cells, and the balance of cytokines. Therefore, researchers describe it as an immunomodulator with a broad spectrum of activity. Put simply: it can help the immune system to respond appropriately, rather than merely influencing it in one direction.
We combine it with oregano oil because the two ingredients complement each other in various areas of immune and gut health. Together, they offer more comprehensive support than either of the two ingredients alone.
